| Abstract: | The European Monetary Union(EMU) plays a significant role in the economic and social development of the European Community(EC).The EMU is based on successful operation of the European Central Bands System(ECBS), which hinges on its independence of other EC institutions and the member states of EC. The Treaty of the European Union furnishes legislative protection for independence of ECBS. Under its extensive and mandatory jurisdiction, the European Court of Justice will provide solid judicial protection to ensure the smooth operation of the EMU. |
