| 摘 要： | "友谊奖"是中国政府为在经济建设和社会发展中做出突出贡献的外国专家设立的。本年度获奖的50名外国专家来自21个国家,涉及工农业、能源环保、教育科技、医疗卫生、文化体育等领域。"许多国家设立奖项表彰那些为本国做出重要贡献的外国人,如法国的荣誉军团勋章、德国的功绩勋章、英国的荣誉骑士勋章……中国政府在评价和肯定我们这些外国专家在华工作成绩时,选择了表示友好关系的词语‘友谊’,来肯定外国专家所作的贡献。"这让来自美国的获奖者杰弗里·雷蒙觉得"友谊奖"是"一份具有更深远意
