The emergence of African-American drama has gone through a process of accreditation from being neglected and marginalized to finally getting the acceptance. During this period, a large number of black female playwrights opened up new areas of American dramatic literature, thereby enriching the feminist drama. Their skills and profound thinking expressed the idea that has been suppressed by the mainstream culture and made an indelible contribution to the development of African-American feminist drama. To interpret and analyze African-American feminist drama from the contemporary critical theory-post-criticism theory will help us receive a good view between African-American drama literature and post-criticism theory.
