| 摘 要： | 图式理论对阅读教学起着重要的作用，笔者从图式理论出发论述背景知识的重要性，并针对我国自学考试英语阅读教材的特点，指出教授阅读课程时，应强调内容背景知识的作用，提高学习者的理解能力。
