Abstract:The development of hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) is mainly concerned in this article.Several theories for the retention mechanism of protein in HIC and main parameters related to chromatographic behavior are reviewed respectively.The selected examples of proteins purified by HIC are also presented.
