论方鸿渐形象的文化心理

方鸿渐是在中西文化碰撞产生的混血儿。中国传统文化在赋予他人性中正直、善良一面的同时,也窒息了他的个性的发展,造成了他的懦弱无能。从中国传统文化的短暂游离并未使他获得真正的西方文化人格,反而使他丧失了原来的文化立场,他徘徊在两种文化的夹缝中,人格产生了分裂,因而他无法突破精神的围城,摆脱人生的困境。

Cultural Psychology of Image through Fang Hongjian

Fang Hongjian is created under the mixture of collision between Chinese and the West cultures.He is entrusted with honestand justice by Chinese traditional culture,which however has also suffocated his individuality,making him wimpish and incompetent.Even he has short dissociation from the Chinese traditional culture,he does not obtain the true western culture by personality by no means,instead he is made to lose his native culture.He shifts between two cultural crevices,his personality in fission,thus he is unable to break through the besieged city of the spirit to rid of predicament of the life.
