努力创办具有鲜明特色的高水平文科学报——《西南交通大学学报（社会科学版）》发展思路

<西南交通大学学报(社科版)>将奉行以特色和质量取胜的发展方略,围绕形成办刊特色、提高办刊质量、形成自己的品牌开展工作.为此,全校上下要进一步提高对文科学报地位与重要性的认识,依托本校、本地学术优势创办若干特色栏目,形成自己的学术特色、地域特色、重大理论问题和热点问题宣传快、准、深特色.同时,努力组约高水平稿件,在编审校工作中精益求精,不断提高学报质量.为实现上述目标,要与学科建设相结合,建设一支学者型加经营型的编辑队伍.

Strive Hard to Establish a High-quality University Journal of Liberal Arts--Ideas on the Development of the Journal of Social Sciences of Southwest Jiaotong University

The Journal of Social Sciences of Southwest Jiaotong University will adopt a strategy of development by its own striking features and high quality. Hence all the work will be focused on the formation of the journal's special traits, on the improvement of the journal's quality and the establishment of its brand name. Therefore, the whole university should upgrade their understanding of the importance of the journal of liberal arts. We should strive to make good use of the academic advantages of our university and our region, establish some special columns, form our own unique academic features and regional characteristics, and turn our journal into the one that reflects the important theoretic and hot issues in a prompt, accurate and in-depth way. Meanwhile, we should endeavor to invite contributions of high quality, be scrupulous in the process of editing and finalizing, and keep on improving the quality of the journal. To realize the above objectives, the construction of the journal has to be supported by the construction of scientific disciplines, and that of a contingent of editors who are capable of both research and management.
