文学作品翻译中人际意义的跨文化建构

优秀的文学作品通过翻译在全世界广泛流传,以飨各国读者,文学作品的翻译也就承载着实现作者和目的语读者之间的跨文化交际的重任。从功能语言学的一个重要的概念——人际意义的角度考察文学翻译作品,可以发现人际意义的成功传译对译文的质量起着决定性的作用。Halliday的功能语言学将语气和情态作为构成人际意义的主要成分。随着系统功能语言学的发展,人际意义的理论框架得到不断的完善,许多实现人际意义的形式为人们所认识。以系统功能语言学的人际理论为基础,在语气、情态、评价和称谓语四个层面对文学作品翻译中人际意义的跨文化建构问题进行描述和解释,对文学作品的翻译将有所启示。

Cross-cultural Construction of Interpersonal Meaning in Literature Translation

First-class literature is spread and appreciated in the world through translation.Therefore,literary trans-lation plays an important role in realizing the cross-cultural intercourse between the author and the target language re-ader.As an important concept of Functional Linguistics,the successful translation of the interpersonal meaning de-cides the quality of the translation work.In Halliday＇s Functional Linguistics,mood and modality are regarded as the principal means in realizing interpersonal meaning.With the development of Systemic Functional Linguistics,the theoretical framework of the interpersonal meaning is improved and much more realizing forms are studied.Based on the interpersonal function theory within the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics,this essay attempts to discuss the cross-cultural interpersonal meaning in literary translation in terms of mood,modality,evaluation and appellation.It intends to shed lights on literary translation.
