大学英语教学中应重视文化因素的作用

本文认为大学英语教学中应重视文化因素的作用。首先揭示了文化因素具有直接影响英语教学目标的实现和关系着英语教学的效果与质量的重要作用;其次分析了英语教学中母语文化与目标文化之间在价值取向、民族理念、思维方式以及社会习俗等方面的差异;最后提出了发挥英语教学中文化因素的作用必须重视母语文化体系在英语教学中的作用,着重中西两种文化之间差异的对比判别以及注意跨文化知识积累和交际意识培养等基本要求。

Stress on the Role of the Culture in College English Teaching

This article supposes that we should attach importance to the role of the culture in College English teaching. First,it reveals that culture has the function that directly affects the achievement of the aims of English teaching and the effect and quality of the instruction. Second,it analyzes the differences between native culture and the target culture on values,ethnic ideals and beliefs,the way of thinking and customs. Finally,it demands that we should lay stress on the native culture and make a contrast between the two cultures and accumulate the knowledge of cross-culture and cultivate the awareness of communication.
