| 摘 要： | 《蝇王》的主题是彻底的悲痛。作者主要运用象征手法表现了这个主题。杰克的行为是人性邪恶一面的表露。蝇王首先象征了人性的邪恶的一面。拉尔夫等人理性的软弱无力,让杰克的狂热战胜的亨实使我们不得不想起20世纪理性的衰落和非理性的兴起。戈尔丁在小说中向我们展示了这种现象,而蝇王又象征着非理性的兴起。

| Abstract: | The theme of Lord of the Flies is thorough grief, which the author of this story presents by a symbolic way. Jack' s behavior is the illustration of the wicked side of human nature and accordingly Lord of the Flies at the first hand symbolizes the wicked side of human nature. The fact that people such as Ralph due to their rational weakness gave way to Jack' s fanaticism reminds us of the decline of rationality and the rise of nonrationality in the 20th century. In his novel, Golding shows us this phenomenon and lord of the flies just symbolizes the rise of nonirationality. |
