沈从文与熊希龄及近代湘西边地士绅文化传统

作为湘西边地的近代文化精英,熊希龄和沈从文都是务实求真、勇于探索的湖湘文化朴素精神之代表。这两个湘西凤凰人有着颇有意味的历史交集,一方面熊希龄在一定程度上促成和影响了沈从文的人生选择和文学道路,另一方面沈从文对于熊希龄所代表的士绅文化传统有一个认知的嬗变过程,从湘西时期的逃离到北漂时期的排斥,再到20世纪40年代末期的重新审视。沈从文与熊希龄的历史交集反映了近代社会转型时期湘西边地文化精英们向外探求和突围的艰辛历史轨迹。

SHEN CONGWEN AND XIONG XILING AND THE GENTRY CULTURAL TRADITIONS OF MODERN HUNAN WESTERN FRONTIER

As the modern cultural elites in Westem Hunan, Xiong Xiling and Shen Congwen are the representatives of seeking the truth and courageous enough to probe into the cultural spirit of simplicity. This two person have a quite meaningful historical intersection, on the one hand Xiong Xiling and contributed to a certain extent, affected the Shen＇s life choices and literary road; on the other hand Shen Congwen＇s cognition about gentry cultural tradition, representative as Xiong Xiling has a changed course, from the period to flee to the exclusion of Western North drift period, to re-examine the late 1940s. Their historical intersection reflects the modern social transition frontier outwards to explore the cultural elite and break through the hardships historical trajectory.
