试析李星沅平定1847年云南回民起义

近代以降,由于社会控制弱化、吏治败坏、灾荒频繁,百姓流离失所,苦不堪言,处于水深火热之中,在这种背景下云南爆发了回民起义。云贵总督贺长龄征剿失败后,清政府决定改派李星沅为总督亲率清兵加以镇压,李星沅到任后,统筹谋划,通盘考虑,采取了正确的征剿方略,剿抚兼施,在较短的时间内彻底镇压了云南回民起义。同时,李星沅也较好地处理了回汉之间的民族关系,有利于缓解民族矛盾,加强民族团结,维护西南地区的社会稳定。

LI XINGYUAN AND THE SUPPRESSION OF THE HUIS UPRISING IN YUNNAN

After a comprehensive design and consideration, Li Xingyuan took the right suppression measures, used carrot and stick policies, and succeeded in breaking down the uprising. Meanwhile, Li Xingyuan took a moderate policy to cope with the ethnic relationships between Han and the Huis, which decreased ethnic conflicts, strengthened the ethnic consolidation and the stability of the society in South Westem China.
