王昌龄《诗格》写作机缘探略

“诗格”类的诗学著作在唐及五代时期特别繁盛,作者众多,作品繁富。不过,其多集中于初唐、中唐及晚唐五代,盛唐则仅有王昌龄一人写出了《诗格》一书。王昌龄之所以要在青春而浪漫的盛唐时期进行诗歌创作的同时又去写作《诗格》,乃是为了承负起“诗家夫子”的使命和职责,同时也是为了抚补自己任江宁县丞时心灵上的空虚和无奈,消解其难耐的悲怨和痛苦。这也正是王昌龄成为盛唐时期唯一一位写作“诗格”类诗学著作的诗人的原因所在。

"Poetry Rules" by Wang Changling

In the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties many poets wrote works like "Poetry Rules" by Wang Changling,but these books were mostly written in the early,mid and late Tang Dynasty.In the heyday of the Tang Dynasty only Wang Changling wrote "Poetry Rules".Wang Changling wrote "Poetry Rules" as well as poems in the young and romantic heyday of the Tang Dynasty because he wanted to undertake the responsibility as teacher of poetry.Meanwhile,as assistant of county magistrate he also wanted to pacify his empty helpless bitter mind.That's why Wang Changling was the only writer who wrote "Poetry Rules" in the heyday of the Tang Dynasty.
