It is true that in the history of cultural development in ancient Yan-Zhao area (the present Hebei Province), there were few great masters such as Confucius the great founder of Confucianism and Lao Zi, the founder of Taoism. However there is no lack of cultural giants in Yan-Zhao area who became leaders of their own schools of thought through adopting the essence of all other schools of thought.
