| Abstract: | Concerning different ways of thinking in the eastern and the western culture, the article discusses about faithfulness and flexibility in English Chinese translation. Employing the reversal thoughts, the translator can convey the original meaning in maximal freedom .Reversal thoughts includes litotoes,the alteration of active and passive structure,of verb's active and passive meaning ,and of verb's objects. |
