佛禅与五代的诗风变易

五代自开平肇始至显德终止,前后五十多年里＂五易其国而八姓＂。之于禅宗,却是一个休养生息的时代,他们在邦国林立的乱局中,各得其所,得大发展;诗人抑或准诗人避乱隐市、逃禅潜佛,各诣所适,客观上为诗风的变迁准备着种种可能,酝酿着种种机缘;作为山水田园一脉的过渡环节,殊觉卑弱,甚至当不起过渡的责任,然而,这毕竟是诗史必经的一段,承续着既往联系着未来。

Zen Buddhism and the Transmutation of Poetry Style in the Five Dynasties

The Five Dynasties started by Ping Zao and ended by Xian De,lasting for over fifty years of chaos,during which time Zen enjoyed a great development,many poets or quasi-poets left cities and stayed in Buddhist temples where their works made it possible for the poetry style to experience a great change,as a transition of eclogue or pastoral poetry in China,insignificant as it was,Zen poetry served as a connecting link in the history of poetry between the preceding and the following dynasties.
