| Abstract: | The major methods in translating English idioms into Chinese include literal translation,free translation and parallel idiom application.TTBS(the teaching of translation as a basic language skill),different from TTPS(the teaching of translation as a professional skill),is a mean to train the basic language skills.The connotations of English idioms can be fully conveyed to the learners of English with the use TTBS. |
