论文化模式与生态环境

环境问题的产生 ,与人类如何对待环境的态度有关 ,而决定人类在环境问题上的态度与行为的是人们所具有的文化模式 ,也即稳定的文化价值倾向。目前世界上的两大文化模式———西方文化和东方文化 ,对待环境问题的态度是不一样的。西方文化由于其内在的人类中心主义和对环境的掠夺性倾向 ,成为人类环境的一种巨大威胁 ;而东方文化由于其非理性和反人性的特征 ,既不能有效地保护环境 ,也不能抵挡西方文化的冲击。只有强调人与人合作、人与自然和谐的社会主义文化模式 ,才是人类环境问题的根本出路所在

On Cultural Patterns and Ecological Environment

Environmental problems are closely related to man's attitudes toward environment,which are determined by man's cultural patterns,i.e.,man's consistent cultural value tendency. The two cultural patterns prevailing in the world todaywestern culture and eastern cultureare different in their attitudes toward environmental problems.Western culture,owing to its inherent humanism and the inclination of plundering the environment,has become a great threat to human environment,while the eastern culture,because of its irrational and anti|human characteristics,can hardly protect the environment efficiently,and nor can it fight against the impact of the western culture.Only the socialist cultural pattern,which stresses the harmonious man|man cooperation and man|nature coexistence,can solve mankind's environmental problems fundamentally.
