An Analysis of and Reflections on the 12- year Economic System Transition in Russia

The economic transition, which started in Russia in the 1990s, has drawn attention of the world. Russia has witnessed a difficult course of reform in the last 12 years. On the basis of sufficient related data, this paper systematically analyses and intends to draw lessons and experience from the following issues: the costs and gains of gradual and radical reforms, the causes of Russia's choice of radical reform, the process and results of Russia's radical reform, and the adjustments and their effects of Russia's economic pattern and policies after Pukin came into power.
