By using postmodernism to explain the east-west relation,postcolonialism concludes the essence of oriental study in the west to be orientalism whose central concept is west-centered theory.As a discourse system of the west to the east,orientalism is a power epistemology with the west as the center.It is a thinking mode used by the west to try to control the east.Strong west-centered theory and cultural imperialism tendency are permeated in it.Its aim is to demonstrate the rationality of the colonial expansion and control of the west to the east.
