摘    要:不同的教师角色观实际上深刻地反映出不同的文化意义。古代优秀教师被尊为“经师”,在社会上拥有比较高的地位,是知识的化身与权威的代言人。“五四”时期,在科学与民主思想的影响下,陶行知将教师定位为“新教员”角色,与传统的“经师”角色有着根本性区别。新时期以来,“教师即研究者”成为教育界普遍认同的理念。

Abstract:Varied cultural significance emerges from different definitions of teachers' roles. Ancient outstanding teachers,regarded as "scholars" with higher social status,was the representative of knowledge and authority. During the May Fourth Movement period, with the impact of scientific and democratic ideology, the teachers' roles were defined as "new instructors" by TAO Xingzhi,a famous Chinese educationist,which is totally different from the traditional teachers' roles as "scholars". While,since new period,the concept of "teachers are researchers" is widely accepted in the field of education.
