摘    要:随着市场经济的发展和中国南方民俗的影响,外国商标谐音译法逐步成为一种“时髦”。该翻译方法的合理性在于,它不仅具备一般音译法之运用普遍和选字随义等性质,更符合商品广告须迎合大众审美心理的特点。

Abstract:With the development of market economy and the influence of SouthernChina's folk customs, homophonic transliteration has become a "fashion" in the translation of foreign trade marks. This translation technique has its own rationality: it is possessed of the common features of transliteration such as wide applicability and randomnesso f diction-choice; and it accords with the chief characteristic of commodity advertisementto cater to public aesthetic standards.
