| Abstract: | F. Scott Fitzgerald's masterpiece The Great Gatsby is believed to be the most successful work in the aspect of its writing techniques. This paper attempts to make some analysis on its artistic features. The writer believes that the author's employment of the peculiar perspective and the effective use of the symbols in the novel are the major achievements the work makes. Thus the significance of the work as a milestone in the history of the American novel writing is presented. |
