中国在进入城市化高速发展阶段的进程中,随之而来各种社会问题不断出现。伴随着我国城市化进程的快速推进,城市中各民族和谐相处,共同进步,不管是在当地城市整体工作中,还是在民族工作中,对其社会稳定和可持续发展,都发挥了特殊的作用。然而在新的形势下,要进一步明确城市中民族工作的指导思想,大力推进城市民族工作的法制化进程;改进城市民族工作的工作方式,转变城市管理理念,强化城市民族工作中的服务意识;转变政府部门职能,充分发挥民族社区和民族社团在城市民族工作中的作用;建立完善的民族服务体系,切实解决城市少数民族的实际问题;建立和疏通少数民族权益诉求渠道,及时反映城市少数民族的意愿,才能把城市建设成为各民族共同发展的和谐家园。
