当代中国“文明论”研究的新视域

近现代以来,不同的学科、不同的学者从不同的视角探索文明的起源、文明的形态、文明的批判、文明的轴心期以及文明的冲突,在为人们勾勒东西方文明图景、揭示人类文明演进特点与规律的同时,也从不同领域、不同层面构建起文明论的体系。相比较而言,马克思主义的文明实践理论内蕴文明实践的转型、文明实践的地缘特点、文明实践的自觉意识三大价值需求,不仅揭示了文明的本质,而且奠定了文明论研究对象价值选择的基础。它启示我们,对当代中国文明论研究对象的选择,文明城市应是一个重要的领域。文明城市的基本特点有三:形态文明,功能文明,素质文明。形态文明是文明城市的形象,功能文明、素质文明则是文明城市的内在本质特征。文明城市作为当代中国千百万民众正在自觉实践、自觉追求的城市范式,是以科学发展的世界观与方法论为指导的引导当代中国走向可持续城市化的新模式,是对未来中国城市美好生活产生重大影响的战略抉择。
