| Abstract: | Although the geographical condition in Russia is not the only factor which influences the development of its national character and spirit, it is a very significant and special one. It gives rise to the antinomy in Russian character and spirit that is a mixture of virtue and weakness, servility and collectivity, extremity and tolerance, solemnity and sentimentality. |
