李商隐与佛教

作为一位以言情著称的诗人,李商隐却和佛教有密切的关系。李商隐向佛是一个随阅历渐丰、日趋沉溺的过程。他以自己苦难的经历,证悟了诸行无常、诸法无我、一切皆苦等佛教真谛;并以求心自处的禅宗“不二法门”获得了一定程度的解脱。但李商隐的佛教观念极不彻底,他只看到了无常,执着于心,既未达到毕竟空,更未至非心非佛境地。

The Relationship Between Li Shangyin and Buddhism

Being a poet well-known for his diction and emotion, Li Shangyin has a close relationship with Buddhism. His worship of Buddhism is enhanced gradually with the experience of reading and his indulgence in this religion. He came to a good understanding of Buddhist doctrine, such as "everything is full of impermanence and hardship" , and gained extrication to certain degree by means of deep meditation-" the only effective way to take". However, Li Shangyin was not a devoted follower of Buddhism, because he could only see the impermanence and could not grasp the essence of Buddhism and extricate from the heart.
