启蒙运动与西部开发

启蒙运动是产生于欧洲近代史上的一场规模宏大的思想解放运动 ,它致力于启迪理性 ,教育大众 ,传播知识 ,从而推动了欧洲各国科学技术和生产力的蓬勃发展。我国的西部开发 ,可以将启蒙运动作为借鉴。西部开发最重要的就是要开发人力资源 ,提高人的素质 ,使西部人从传统走向现代。我们主要应从三个方面着手 :批判旧观念 ,建立适合市场经济发展的新的价值观 ;大力发展教育 ,提高西部人民的文化知识水平 ;保护和发展民族文化 ,促使西部各民族现代化建设的顺利进行。

The Enlightenment and the West Development Program

The enlightenment is a large scaled ideological liberation movement in the modern history of Europe, which concentrates on enlightening one's reasoning ability, educating the masses, spreading the knowledge, and thus enhancing the rapid development of scientific technology and productive forces in various countries of Europe. The west development program of our country may take the Enlightenment for reference. In reality, the most important task for the development of the West of China lies in tapping intellectual resources, improving the quality of the people and transforming the traditional west region into a modern one. Therefore, we should start by following the three steps: (i) criticizing the outdated concepts and building up the new values that conform to the development of market economy; (ii) developing education energetically so as to raise the educational level of the people in the west region; and (iii) protecting and developing the national culture in order to promote the development of modernization for all the nationalities in the west region.
