比较美学视野中的文学翻译——兼评《德伯家的苔丝》的两个中译本

摘    要:翻译与美学有着不解之缘。文学翻译首先是一种审美过程,译者作为审美主体,对原作即审美客体的理解以及对译文读者审美心理的判识,共同奠定了译文的审美价值。以《德伯家的苔丝》两个中文译本作为研究个案,通过比较两个译本翻译风格与文本形式的差异,揭示文学翻译中比较美学与翻译实践的内在联系。

Abstract:Translation studies is closely related to aesthetics. First and most importantly, literary translating process is an aesthetic experience for the translators. As the aesthetic subject, the translators'aesthetic understanding and judgment of the original--the aesthetic object--as well as the aesthetic psychological abilities on the part of the target language readers determine the aesthetic values of the translation. This paper studies the relations between comparative aesthetics and translation practice through the comparison of two Chinese versions of "Tess of the D'Urbervilles".
