铝工业废渣堆场对环境的危害主要表现在对地下水及地表水体的污染，其主要污染物为碱、氟化物、铝及钠等，防治废渣堆场污染一方面需要对堆放场采取良好的防渗措施，加强对生产和堆场进行科学的管理，另一方面应积极进行废渣的综合利用，将氧化铝生产产生的废渣-赤泥用于堆场本身的防渗是废渣资源化、减量化的有效手段之一。

On the harmfulness of aluminium industrial residue deposit to environment and counter measures

The harmfulness of aluminium industrial residue deposit on environment mainly lies in its pollution of underground water and surface water. To prevent the residue deposit from polluting environment, effective measures should be taken to stop its permeance; on the other hand, comprehensive utilization should be made of the residue. The author finds that utilization of red mud to the prevention of permeance is one of the effective ways to turn the residue into resources and to decrease its amount.
