Pragmatism in Ming Dynasty and its Impact on Reading Activities

In Ming Dynasty,there had been a trend of Pragmatism in the academic community opposing to the impetuous tendency.They opposed impetuosity in learning and criticized pure theories and talks without action.Being realistic and practical,seeking pragmatism,they reviewed many traditional disciplines and some areas in natural sciences and engineering,which had a positive impact on reading activities in Ming Dynasty,meanwhile laid a foundation for the Pragmatism trend in Qing Dynasty.
