| Abstract: | Book of Changes provides Song Neo-Confucianism with rich thinking resources which Northern Song neo-Confucians make use of to criticize Fo(Buddhist Learning) and Lao(Lao Zhuang Philosophy) and to set up new theories.In over a hundred years from the creation of Neo-Confucianism till Southern Song Dynasty,during the course of putting Book of changes to use,the more Song neo-Confucians study it,the more they understand its profound significance.The Original Meaning of Zhou Yi(Book of Changes) reflects this course,in which Zhu Xi restores Book of Changes to its original meaning and also makes of more scientific thinking way than the past.It manifests Zhu Xi to be a great educationist and thinker with the precious down-to-earth spirit.Undoubtedly,The Original Meaning of Zhou Yi(Book of Changes) is the marked work in the mature period of Song Neo-Confucianism. |
