Status, Reasons and Countermeasures on Brain Drain in the Western Regions

Talents play a key role in the drive of China's Western Regions Development. Because its economic development is far behind that of the Eastern Regions, the Western Regions have been suffering the lost of talents for quite a long time. Based on the analysis of the reasons of this problem, some countermeasures are discussed. It is proposed that the principles of respecting knowledge and talents should be followed and multiple measures be taken, so to change the situation of talents continuously "flying" to the South and the East and to meet the requirement of Western Regions' Development.
