从民族学、文化学和思维创造学、人才学等多角度探讨梳理了梅山文化从古代而近代而现当代的流变发展脉络。梅山文化的深层结构具有“动”的目的意向性，它经过历时性的五次流变发展既融入中国现代文化，又卓然而立和而不同，保持着梅山文化的独特品格。梅山文化的现代形态和核心精神主要体现在该文化圈的现代人身上：从屈原的《离骚》到成仿吾早期的诗歌、再到黄永玉的美术创作、贺绿汀的钢琴协奏曲《牧童短笛》、谭盾的渗透着楚风神秘因子的《风雅颂》等，无不既流淌贯通着古梅山文化的血脉又体现了梅山文化的现代精神。
