《边城》与中国传统思维方式

《边城》与＂五四＂以后占主流地位的社会剖析小说有着深层次上的差异,这种差异更多源自作家思维方式的不同。沈从文更多地接受了中国传统思维方式的影响;因此,他很大程度上拒绝了西方小说因果的和逻辑的模式,而采用了中国传统思维的注重感受和直觉体验的模式。《边城》将人与物、主要人物与次要人物都置于同一个平面之上,描绘了一幅完整的湘西风俗画,典型地体现了中国传统的＂整体＂思维模式。

Border Town has a deeper level of difference from the then dominant society analysis novels after May Fourth Movement,such differences are caused by authors＇ ways of thinking.Shen Congwen is more influenced by traditional Chinese way of thinking;therefore,he rejects causal connections and logical relations of Western novel,and adopts traditional Chinese model which stress feeling and intuitive experience.Border Town puts characters and objects,the main character and secondary characters on the same plane,painting a complete picture of xiangxi customs,which typically reflects the traditional ＂overall＂ ideation mode.
