语言教学的主体与客体

摘    要:在外语教学中 ,学生应该成为教学活动的主体 ,而所学语言只能是教学活动的客体。混淆二者的关系势必造成教学方法上的失误。然而在目前的外语教学中 ,过分地强调背诵课文、机械记忆及偏重语法规则讲授的现象屡见不鲜。这些教学方法有其自身的优势 ,但也不可一味地垂范。为了提高外语教学的水平 ,我们一方面应该充分尊重学生在外语教学中的主观能动性 ;另一方面还要正确地理解语言的特性。

Abstract:In language teaching, students should be regarded as the subject of language activities while language is supposed to be the object. A misunderstanding of the relationship between the subject and the object often gives rise to some improper method of teaching. The overemphasis on learning texts by heart, mechanical memorization and excessive interest in teaching grammar rules are common phenomena in language teaching, especially in foreign language teaching. These methods of teaching have their own advantages, yet, they are not to be followed blindly. In the essay, the author argues that, in order to bring our language teaching to a higher level, the subjective initiative of the students should be respected and it is important to have a correct understanding of the essence of the language.
