An Overview on the Modes of the Visual Beauty of Architecture Buildings

The successful expression of the visual beauty of architectural buildings is a common feature of all the masterpieces during the history. Without a good understanding of its meanings first, an architect couldn't harmoniously translate his or her ideas into a real works. This paper focuses on the relationship beneath the appearance of visual art, which has unveiled the order of the nature. By summarizing the principles of the visual art modes, the author deems that it is a dynamic process in the organizing of the fundamental components of the architecture language, i.e., the mutual communication of the observer and the objects. These principles are also important in the appreciation of existing architectural buildings, especially in the grasping of the relationship between its cultural heritage and the technical progress. Through a perspective review on the historical development of the modes of the visual beauty of the architectural buildings, the author has reached a conclusion that although the way for the discovery and manifestation of the visual beauty of the architectural art is changing, the inner nature of their beauty is eternal, and that to grasp the essence of its beauty is still endless pursuit of modern architects.
