The Rise of PMCs and Its Development Prospect

Since the end of Cold War, PMCs(Private Military Corporations) have been playing a more and more important role in the local wars and armed conflicts. This article expounds the characteristics of PMCs and makes an analysis of the reasons for their rise. On this basis, it makes a prediction of its development prospect: In the long run, PMCs will not disappear, but have a trend of aggrandizement. In spite of this, the existence and development of PMCs need legal bunds to a certain extent.
