席勒的艺术本质论

摘    要:艺术的本质是席勒始终关心的问题。席勒认为,艺术是人类的本质标志,是真和善统一于美的形象创造。席勒对于“美的艺术的本质就是外观”所作的论述,充分显示了他的审美人类学观点。席勒对传统美学的摹仿说与表现说的全面继承以及对于艺术本质的审美人类的规定和阐释,在西方美学史上是具有划时代意义的巨大历史贡献。这种贡献不仅表现在对于西方现代主义美学的承上启下的作用,而且也表现在对于马克思主义实践美学的继往开来的启发。

Abstract:Always keeping the issue of artistic essence in mind, Schiller holds that art is an essential mark of human beings, and an image creation that incorporates the true and the good into the beautiful. Schiller's statement that "the artistic essence of beauty is the outer appearance" is a full demonstration of his esthetic anthropology. Schiller's definition and exposition on esthetic anthropology as artistic essence, as well as his all-round inheritance of the traditional esthetic theories about imitation and expression, have formed an epoch-making historic contribution to Western esthetics not only as a link between the past and the modernist Western esthetics, but also as an enlightenment for Marxist practical esthetics.
