论字幕翻译的策略——以《欲望都市》为例

随着日益增多的外国节目的引进，字幕翻译作为影视翻译的重要一部分在跨文化交流中起到了举足轻重的作用。本文以美剧《欲望都市》及其网络译本为研究对象，归纳了Lomheim 在字幕翻译上的策略,从而引出对《欲望都市》字幕翻译的具体运用策略，其中主要包括省略，压缩，扩张，归化，并且结合剧中实例对不同策略进行了阐述。

An Analysis of Subtitle Translating Strategies: A Case Study of Sex and the City

With increasing cultural communication between China and western countries, the popularity offoreign TV and film products is leading to a relatively new field that matters to the overall appreciation from Chineseaudience. This thesis conducts an in-depth analysis on subtitle translation which is the leading type of audiovisualtranslation by taking examples from the American TV series Sex and the City. The author highlights the generalizedsubtitling constraints theories from Lomheim and the corresponding translation strategies applied in subtitlingtranslation, which includes omission, condensation, expansion, domestication, combining different strategies toexplain the examples of Sex and the City
