《金瓶梅》是我国古代小说史上的一部"奇书",它不但以独特的风貌显示了极高的文学价值,同时又是我国古代书面语由文言向白话发展进程中的一个里程碑,在语言发展史上同样具有极高的价值。随着《金瓶梅》研究的升温,对它的方言研究也成为一个热点。本文对近一二十年的《金瓶梅》方言研究作一简单回顾,指出了研究中存在的问题,主张以理性代替热情,提高研究的科学化程度。

On the Study on the Dialects in Jinpingmei

Jinpingmei, a "remarkable book" m the history of Chiense novels, is not only a display of great literary value for its unique style, but also a monument in the development of our country's written language from classical Chinese to vernacular. It is therefore a valuable document in the history of the Chinese language. With the probing enthusiasm toward the novel keeps growing, the study of the dialect in it has also attracted much scholarly interest. Thus essay, a brief review of the dialectological study of Jinpingmei, points out some weaknesses of the previous studies in the field, and calls for a more scientific approach toward the subject, which is directed by reason rather than by passion.
