翻译等值相对性探析

翻译等值论是翻译界很有影响的理论 ,但其不足之处也是显而易见的。从对各种有关翻译定义的分析比较可以看出 :翻译是一个从源语文本向目的语文本的转换过程 ,这个过程受到译者的特定性、文本的特定性和接受者的特定性三种因素的制约 ,因而文本翻译的等值实质上是个变量 ,翻译等值呈现出一定的相对性。但在评判译文优劣的问题上 ,等值仍是一种可资利用的有效方法。

Probing into Relativity of Translation Equivalence

Translation Equivalence is an important theory in translation, but its imperfection is also obvious. Translation means a process which is conditioned by the translator-specific, text-specific and recepter-specific, going from the source language text to the target language text. So it takes on a sense of relativity. Nevertheless, the translation equivalence is still taken as an available and effective approach to evaluating the quality of the version.
