加拿大多元文化教育和在高等教育中的体现

摘    要:加拿大是一个移民国家,保持着各种不同的风俗文化和习惯,具有多元文化特色。为保持民族之间的文化多元性,避免种族冲突,加拿大力图通过多元文化教育,在以英语和法语为主流文化的社会里,使各个种族和民族群体的合法地位得到承认,促进多元文化社会的融合和繁荣。多元文化教育的实施必然贯穿到高等教育的实践中去。从多元文化的起源和多元文化教育的内容来揭示其特点和实质,帮助理解加拿大的政策和教育方针,并分析加拿大多元文化教育在高等教育中的地位和社会功能。这对我国具有现实启迪意义。

Abstract:Canada an immigrant country,therefore containing various customs and cultures.In order to maintain the multi-cultural characteristics,and avoid racial confrontations,Canada tries hard to carry out multi-cultural education so that the legal position of every ethnic group is able to receive reorganization in the main-stream cultural society of English and French,which in turn,promote further interfusion and blooming of the multi-cultural society.Multi-cultural education must carried on into the practice of higher learning.By analyzing the origin of multi cultures,and the contents of multi-cultural education,revealing its characteristics and its nature,this paper will give us a better insight into the policies and education preference of Canada.Perception of the position and social function of multi-cultural education in Candian higher learning education will be of guidance for China.
