On Stimulating Private College Undergraduates' Learning Motivation

Learning motive is the initial drive for students in learning. In private colleges, some undergraduates' severely lacking of learning motive is a serious problem, which results from students' learning habits and behavioral habits, their family environment as well as certain problems existing in teaching. These students still have great potential in learning although there are some shortcomings. Such measures as improving their self-efficacy and hierarchy of human needs, strengthening their surface motive so as to stimulate their learning motive and guide them to develop healthily.
