孔子的知识观及其当代价值

Confucius Viewpoint of knowledge and its Values

China has a different traditional viewpoint about knowledge from that of the western countries. In our traditional system of knowledge, the doctrines of Confucius and Mencius has a profound influence in our history and culture. Confucianism serves as a fountain of the humanism in China.The present article discusses the essence, the main body, the subject and content of knowledge, and the means of knowledge and methodology with an attempt to summarize the features of its manifold connotations, instrumental functions, as well as its humanitarian and non_religious aspects. The author means to highlight the values of Confucianism for the current society.
