| Abstract: | From the perspective figure-ground theory,this thesis contrastively analyses the translation of imitation words in Yang Xianyi＇s and David Hawkes＇ versions of Hong Lou Meng（A Dream of Red Mansions）,discusses the multi-layer relationships concealed in the sentences which contain imitation words,and proposes the best translation condition of imitation words for translation. |
