On the Orientation of Academic Journals in the Backward Western Regions of China

By discussing the problem of sustainable development of academic journals in the backward western regions of China, this paper gives seven different kinds of orientation: political ideas, contents, aims, writers, readers, qualities of editors and economy. It maintains that the problem itself is the source of academic life, and only by designing all-ronnd blue-print will these journals possibly have their ideal future.
