收回广州湾租借地的历史考察

1899年，法国通过不平等条约租借了广州湾。自其产生之日起，中国人民就对此进行了不屈斗争。广州湾租借地的收回经历了一个曲折过程，大致可以分为三个阶段。中国在巴黎和会上正式提出收回租借地的请求，但遭到了列强拒绝。随后华盛顿会议召开，中国再次提出这种要求，法国承诺有条件交还广州湾租借地，但是在会后又拖延不交，收回广州湾租借地交涉成为悬案，，南京国民政府时期，中国收回租借地运动再起，中国政府亦提起收回广州湾租借地交涉，但无果而终。第二次世界大战为广州湾租借地收回提供了契机。战争结束后，中国正式收回了这个租借地。

On the Withdrawal of Kwangchowan Leased Territory

Kwangchowan became French＇ s leased territory after 1899 because of the unequal treaty. The Chinese people have made a grim struggle against it. The leased territory was withdrawn after undergoing an experience of a meandering course, which can be roughly divided into three stages. China formally put forward the request to recover the concessions in the peace conference of Paris, but was refused by the Powers. Subsequently, China put forward this request once again in the Washington Conference, the French promised to return Kwangchowan leased territory to China with supplementary conditions. However, the promise was not carried out. The withdrawal of Kwangchowan became an unsettled issue. China saw again the rise of the movement recovering the concession during the period of Nanjing national government. Chinese government also had negotiations with French government, but all to no purpose. The Second World War provided an opportunity for the withdrawal of Kwangchowan. After this war, China formally took back this leased territory.
