论阅读理解与文化差异的关系

摘    要:阅读是大学英语核心课程之一。阅读能力的高低直接影响到学生语言知识的接受、基本技能训练和英语交流能力的培养。要想提高阅读水平就应注意英汉的文化差异。本文着重从词汇、习语、句子和语篇四个方面阐述文化差异对英语阅读理解的影响,强调文化导入在英语教学中的重要性和必要性,并就如何导入文化背景知识,消除文化差异对英语阅读理解的影响提出几点看法。

Abstract:Reading is one of the core courses in College English. The high or low level of reading ability directly influence the acceptance of students' language knowledge,the training of basic skills as well as the level of cultivating English exchange ability. In order to improve the reading comprehension level,one should pay great attention to the Chinese and English cultural diversity. The paper focuses on demonstrating cultural diversity to the influence of reading comprehension through four aspects:vocabulary,idiom,sentence and discourse. It stresses the importance and necessity guided by culture in English teaching and put forward a few suggestions about removing cultural diversity in students' English reading comprehension.
