探询现代文学研究的新与旧认知模式

近百年现代中国文学研究形成了新与旧二元对立的认知模式。从晚清到“五四”,文学上的新旧并没有完全赋予其价值内涵,但随着现代文学演变以及评论或研究的开展,文学上的新与旧则成了构建认知模式的两个价值范畴,并在研究实践中越来越把新与旧视为衡估文学的价值标志,这是认知和判断上的误区。虽然新与旧不是文学的价值范畴,但它可以从时间、时代和形式上把文学的新旧区分开来,以对古今文学或新旧文学进行“打通关系”的研究,开拓现代中国文学研究的新格局。

On the New and Old Cognitive Mode in Research of Modern Chinese Literature

One so-called new-old-dualistic-antithesis cognitive mode has been prevailing in recent centennial research of modern Chinese literature. Although this mode in the litareture from the later Qing dynasty to the May 4th had not thoroughly gained its whole denotation of values, whether new literature or old one has indeed constitued two major confines of value in the establishment of cognitive mode with the changing of modern literature and the developing of the correspondent literary critique and research. This may be a big mistake in our cognition or judgment; however, the mode can be used to divide some text of the litareture into the new one or the old one based on its writing time, production ages and textual forms, and to carve out a new situation of modern literature research by the means of the getting-through of the relationship between the classic and the modern literature or between the new and the old literature.
